Narsimhan is in Delhi for the cause of an irrigation project for Andhra Pradesh; apprises Sonia of political situation in AP

The Governor of AP, E S L Narasimhan, is in Delhi to gain sanction for a key irrigation project for Andhra Pradesh, for which he is said to have gotten an assurance from the Prime Minister that it will be cleared by July 2010.

Narsimhan also met Sonia Gandhi today at her residence at 10 Janpath. The meeting was held to update the Congress President of the current situation in the state of Andhra Pradesh, regarding administration, law and order and the political state of affairs in the state.

The Governor met the water resources minister Pawan Kumar Bansal and also with the Union Cabinet Secretary KM Chandrasekhar.
