Even as the CM is busily meeting all the big guns of AICC, Governor E S L Narasimhan, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and several others have also been summoned to the national capital.
It has been reported that the Governor recieved a call yesterday evening from AICC top cat Sonia Gandhi, Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, and Defence Minister A K Antony. Sources say that the possible impact on the Congress party in the state, in case of any decision taken on Telangana, was discussed during the call.
It may be mentioned that this call came right after meetings the AICC leaders had with Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy over similar subjects. The CM reportedly briefed Sonia on all the major political developments in Andhra Pradesh, as is also said given her a 300-page report on the same.
It may also be mentioned that the CM received a dressing down from them over his "mishandling" of the arrests of
MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi and dalit MLA
P Shankar Rao.
Meanwhile, the Governor, who was supposed to fly to Delhi between the 11
th and the 13
th of this month, has been asked to do so this Thursday instead, to attend a two-day Governor's conference convened by President Pranab Mukherjee, which be held on the 9
th and the 10
th of February.
The CM, who is due to fly back to Hyderabad tonight, was called for yet another round of meetings to discuss various development-related acivities to be taken up in the state.
After Chief Minister, it will be the turn of the PCC president, followed by other senior leaders, to give their views on the contentious issue.
However, the governor's report carries more weight, and, in all likelihood, it will form the basis of the strategy the high command would adopt in deciding its political course of action.
