Governor E S L Narasimhan has come under attack from the BJP state unit in Andhra Pradesh, which accused him of favouritism.
Narasimhan, who is Governor of both the Telugu-speaking states, was accused of being biased against Andhra Pradesh by BJP MLA Penmetsa Vishnu Kumar Raju, who said that the former was partial to Telangana since he was residing in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana.
Accusing the Governor of inaction on matters concerning Andhra Pradesh, the MLA claimed that an amendment bill meant to transfer agricultural land within AP to non-agricultural land was pending with the Governor for the last one month, whereas a similar bill by the Telangana government had been approved by him within a span of three days.
The BJP leader stated that they would lodge a complaint with the Union government if the Governor failed to act promptly on matters concerning AP.
