The second phase of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly's budget session is likely to begin on June 10.
According to sources, the second phase of the Assembly session will discuss the completion of the remaining tasks related to the state budget for the fiscal year 2013-14. The first leg of the budget session was held from March 13 to March 26, 2013.
Meanwhile, sources indicated that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy might go for a reshuffle or an expansion of his cabinet by June 8.
While the vacancies created due to the resignations of Mopidevi Venkataramana, P Sabitha Indira Reddy and B Dharmana Prasad Rao will most likely be filled up, a few ministers might be dropped to be replaced by new faces.
Senior leaders, including J C Diwakar Reddy, Peer Shabbir Ahmed or Farooq Hussain and chief whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy, might be inducted into the cabinet before the beginning of the Assembly's session.
The opposition parties will primarily target the government on the issue of tainted ministers.
The next session will also witness the presence of leader of the opposition N Chandrababu Naidu, who skipped the earlier two sessions due to his padayatra Vastunna Mee Kosam. He did not participate in the special session convened to pass the SC-ST Sub-Plan Bill, and in the first phase of the budget session, which also witnessed a no-confidence motion moved by the YSR Congress party and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
