Speaker Nadendla Manohar disallowed adjournment motions moved by opposition parties today, and TDP and TRS members rushed to the podium, seeking an immediate discussion on their respective motions.
When the situation did not improve, the Speaker adjourned the House for one hour.
While the TDP issued a notice for a discussion on power cuts and the scarcity of drinking water, the TRS wanted a resolution on Telangana to be adopted. Crop losses due to the power shortage was the YSRCP's subject, while drinking water shortage was the issue raised by the MIM. The BJP gave a notice on power scarcity.
The Left parties wanted to discuss the rollback of power charges, and Nagam Janardhan Reddy gave a notice seeking a discussion on the suicides of youth in Telangana.
