The TRS today claimed that crores of funds were being flown in from Amavarathi into Telangana as the elections in the state were nearing.
TRS MLC Srinivas Reddy and leader Gattu Ramachandra Rao accused TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of pumping in bundles of currency notes to lure the voters to vote for the alliance of the opposition parties. Claiming that Naidu was trying to get the Andhras to take over Telangana again and that was the reason he was focusing on the Telangana Assembly elections, they recalled that Naidu had even earlier tried to "destabilize" the Telangana government through sending Revanth Reddy to lure some TRS leaders, and said that he was now using another aide of TDP Telangana chief L Ramana, Vallabhaneni Anil Kumar, to hatch his latest conspiracy against Telangana. Incidentally, about Rs 59 lakhs of hawala cash was seized from the car of Anil Kumar.
AICC chief Rahul Gandhi had a responsibility to reply to the people on the conspiracies being hatched by Naidu against Telangana, they added. The TRS under KCR was working for the people and implementing several welfare schemes but the Congress-led opposition was wilfully maligning the party, and the people would teach a lesson to it, they said.
