Telugu film actor Allu Arjun appeared before the Chikkadpally police this morning regarding the Sandhya theatre stampede.
The incident, which occurred during the
Pushpa 2 premiere on December 4, resulted in a woman Revathi's death and left her son critically injured.
Arjun was issued a notice to appear at the police station. He arrived at around 11 am, accompanied by his father Allu Aravind, uncle and Congress leader Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, and his legal team.
In the presence of Central Zone DCP Akshansh Yadav, Chikkadapally ACP Ramesh Kumar and Inspector Raju Naik questioned Arjun for over three hours. The police showed him a 10-minute video of the incident and asked more than 50 questions.
When asked if he was aware of Revathi's death, Arjun remained silent. He also gave no response when questioned about why he told the media that he didn't know about the incident until the next day.
The questioning ended at 2:45 pm. The police asked Arjun to remain available for further questioning.
After his statement was recorded, Arjun left without addressing the media.
The police are now planning to reconstruct the scene of the incident.
