Lawyers To Boycott Work On Monday

The Bar Council of India asks lawyers across the country to abstain from work on Monday.

The Bar Council of India has asked lawyers across the country to abstain from work on Monday in protest against an assault on lawyers in Jaipur and Chandigarh.

In a media statement, Bar Council Secretary J R Sharma said that the protest must be peaceful and "dignified".

Lawyers of Delhi, who have already observed the abstention on March 7, have been exempted from Monday's protest. (INN)
