AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal today called upon veteran leader of the Telangana unit of the Congress V Hanumantha Rao, who is currently recovering from a kidney-related ailment at the Hyderguda branch of the Apollo Hospitals.
During his visit, Reddy enquired about the treatment being provided to VHR at the healthcare facility, and conveyed his wishes to the latter for a speedy recovery. He added that he would inform the party's national leaders of the details of VHR's current condition.
While former minister J Geeta Reddy also visited the ailing leader today, TPCC head A Revanth Reddy had
met him on June 28.
Addressing the media after his meeting with VHR, Reddy had said that the respect he had for his senior had only increased after speaking to him. He had also stated that the leader had spoken to him about critical party matters, making suggestions for its development despite being unwell.
The senior leader has been
undergoing treatment at the hospital since June 27 - after the septuagenarian complained of acute stomach pains, his family had immediately rushed him to the Hyderguda branch of the hospital.
The doctors treating Rao, who has reportedly been contending with kidney-related problems for some time, had said that his condition was stable, and that he would be discharged soon.
