Tollywood character artist Rajiv Kanakala has extended his support to actor Manchu Vishnu's panel in the upcoming elections for the Movie Artists Association (MAA).
The elections are scheduled to be held on October 10.
The actor who tasted success most recently with the movie Love Story made some interesting comments about the upcoming elections.
He said that he had won the post of the Treasurer of MAA last year after contesting the elections as a member of actor Shivaji Raja's panel. He said that he was the only person who had won from that panel. He also said that he had worked hard for the welfare of the members of the association by joining hands with the outgoing president Naresh's panel.
Kanakala said that he had decided to extend his support to Manchu Vishnu's panel as he was hurt by the negative comments against them by some persons who were contesting the upcoming elections. He also claimed that Vishnu had complete clarity over the construction of the building of the association and what was needed to enhance the welfare of the members. He added that veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna was also supporting Vishnu, and that other top actors including Mahesh Babu, Prabhas and NTR would also extend him their support. He expressed confidence that Vishnu would win the elections.
Targeting actor Prakash Raj, who is also contesting for the President of MAA, indirectly, he said that he would not allow outsiders to get involved in MAA.
