Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Thursday, strongly condemned the killing of a 15-year-old girl, who was allegedly attacked with acid by an unknown assailant at her home in Antampally village of Nizamabad district.
Ccondemning the incident, the CM directed the Nizamabad district collector and the superintendent of police to book cases against the perpetrators, and to make strong efforts to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in future.
According to reports, the victim, a class IX student, was reportedly at home with her family members, when the incident took place.
Meanwhile the mother of the victim claims that she was attacked by an unknown person who faked his way into her room asking for water.
The family reportedly found the victim in her room with her face burnt. She was shifted to the nearby Nizamabad hospital, where she succumbed to injuries.
The police have registered a case of suspicious death. The parents of the victim are being interrogated by the cops.
According to the police, there was a quarrel between the victim and her family last night, over the company she kept. (INN)
