Several ministers and leaders appear to be enjoying themselves by uttering popular dialogues in the Assembly sessions.
While the Telangana Assembly last week witnessed leaders from all the political parties giving undue publicity to the film
Bahubali and its character Kattappa, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly saw a similar scene today with a minister mouthing a dialogue from
Gautamiputra Satakarni of Hindupur MLA and actor Balakrishna.
Labour Minister K Achchennaidu, asking the Leader Of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to choose between tendering an apology and joining the proceedings or taking punishment, said "Saranama (apologize) leka maranama (punishment)".
The minister was fuming at Jagan's allegations against Agriculture Minister Pattipati Pulla Rao during a debate on the AgriGold row, and challenged Jagan to accept the challenge of Pulla Rao to either prove the allegations or stop making false allegations.
Achchennaidu's dialogue appeared to have irked the YSR Congress Party supremo though it caused members of the ruling party to get into raptures.
The Telangana Assembly too recently witnessed Telugu Desam Party leaders comparing Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to Kattappa, a key character in Bahubali. Leader Of Opposition K Jana Reddy too had joined the bandwagon to say that a Bahubali would emerge out of the Congress to take on the might of Kattappa. This also prompted former minister D K Aruna, and BJP and Left party leaders to make similar comments against the Chief Minister.
