ACB officials today conducted searches at the villa of former Kaleshwaram project Engineer In Chief Hariram in a gated community in Toli Chowki from the early hours today.
Searches were also conducted simultaneously at 14 other locations.
It is reported that officials have identified a large number of properties during the searches worth several crores of rupees - villas, flats, houses, large tracts of lands, multiple cars, gold and bank deposits - disproportionate to his known sources of income. It is also reported that the officials have discovered three bank lockers that they are yet to open.
Hariram was arrested late in the night after a disproportionate assets case was booked against him.
Hariram had played a key role in the construction of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, and is currently Engineer In Chief, Irrigation and Command Area Development, Gajwel.
The ACB is reportedly conducting the searches based on the NDSA report.
