Six TRS leaders were today elected unopposed as MLCs under the MLA quota.
The persons elected were Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Kadiyam Srihari, Banda Prakash, T Ravinder Rao, P Kaushik Reddy and controversial ex-IAS officer Venkatrami Reddy.
The Returning Officers offered the related certificates to the six leaders as MLCs.
Later they all paid floral tributes at Gun Park in front of the Assembly.
Talking to press persons, Kadiyam Srihari, an ex-minister, extended thanks to TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for offering them the chance to be MLCs.
With this the Chief Minister had done justice to all sections, he said.
The former minister also claimed that the TRS government under KCR rule had done a great job in the past seven years.
"In the past seven years, Telangana has developed in all sectors. We will make even more efforts for the state's development," Srihari said.
He also checked all the boxes by dutifully criticising the BJP leaders for carrying out a "misinformation campaign" on the paddy procurement.
