2nd Phase Polling For MPTCs, ZPTCs Concludes
The polling for 1,096 ZPTCs and 16,589 MPTCs across AP saw average polling of 72.26%, with Khammam district topping at 78.56% and Karimnagar the lowest at 66%.
The second phase of polling for 1,096 ZPTCs and 16,589 MPTCs across Andhra Pradesh concluded on Friday.
According to Station Election Commission P Ramakanth Reddy, the average polling percentage was 72.26%, with Khammam district on top with 78.56% and Karimnagar with lowest 66%.
The SEC has ordered re-polling in a few polling stations due to various reasons. Re-poll has been ordered in Polling Station No 35 of ZPTC Singanamala in Ananthapuram district due to use of 86 ballot papers pertaining to another ZPTC (ZPTC Atmakur). Similarly, re-polling has been ordered in Polling Station No 6 of Cherlappli village of Medak, Polling Station Nos 18 and 21 of Kaluvoya MPP of SPSR Nellore, Polling Station No 43 of Dakkili MPP of Nellore, Polling Station No 27 of Busiputtu Gram Panchayat of Visakhapatnam, and Polling Station Nos 41 and 42 of M Ravivalasa MPTC of Vizianagaram district.
The re-polling in all these polling stations will be held on April 13. (INN)
