Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today said that the State government would implement the 200 units free electricity for households scheme - Gruha Jyothi - from the next month.
The scheme is one of the six guarantees given by the Congress during its election campaign.
Speaking to the media, Reddy reiterated that the Congress' six guarantees would be implemented within the first 100 days of the government's formation, and that the government would fulfill all its other promises in a phased manner.
He also alleged that former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao had made Telangana a debt-ridden State, and that his BRS government had looted the people.
Reddy also predicted that the Congress would win a majority of the Lok Sabha seats from Telangana in the upcoming elections, and that the BRS would not secure even a single seat.
He also alleged that former minister and BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy would soon go to jail in connection with the irregularities that had taken place during the execution of power plants under the previous government.
"Stringent action will also be initiated against those involved in the irregularities of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project and other projects," Reddy said.
