12 Telangana Cities Covered Under AMRUT: Union Minister
Manohar Lal Khattar said that 66 projects costing Rs 1,424.09 crore had been taken up across the 12 cities.

Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar today said in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha that 12 Telangana cities were covered under AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation).
The cities covered under the mission in the State were Hyderabad (GHMC), Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahbubnagar, Miryalguda, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Ramagundam, Siddipet, Suryapet and Warangal, the minister said.
As reported by the State government, 66 projects were taken up under AMRUT including 27 water supply projects worth Rs 1,424.09 crore, four sewerage/septage management projects worth Rs 203.3 crore, and 35 green spaces and park projects worth Rs 35.69 crore, and all these projects had been completed, Khattar said.
4,336.54 km length of water pipelines and 278.53 km length of sewer pipelines had also been laid, 5.54 lakh water tap connections and 0.87 lakh sewer connections had been provided, and sewage treatment plants (STP) of 18.25 MLD capacity and 442.45 acres of green space area had been developed in the State under AMRUT, his reply mentioned.
An amount of Rs 1,663.08 crore had been sanctioned for these projects, which included Central Assistance (CA) of Rs 832.6 crore, and the State had submitted utilization bills for Rs 806.21 crore against the Rs 831.52 crore released under AMRUT, the reply added.
