The results of the Secondary School Certificate examinations will be announced on 22 May.
SSC Board Director B Manmadha Reddy, on Tuesday, said that spot valuation of SSC exams, which began on 13 April, has been completed, and that the board has been making arrangements to announce results on 22 May.
He informed those present that over 12.5 lakh students had appeared for the exams this year. Of them, a total of 681 students were debarred on charges of malpractices.
Apart from debarring students, the SSC board also initiated action against 265 invigilators, he added. 265 invigilators have been fired for being lax in their duties, and 3 were suspended from service.
One chief superintendent and 2 departmental officers were also suspended from their duties, he added. (INN)
