With the Censor Board members feeling that a few scenes in 'Jai Bolo Telangana' made by noted director N Shankar may disturb the peace and harmony in the state, the release of the film will be delayed further.
According to sources, the film 'Jai Bolo Telangana' was originally scheduled to be released on January 28th across the state. But with the Censor Board raising objections and refusing to give clearance to the movie, the film will be released most probably in February.
The film deals with the agitation for a separate Telangana state.
Meanwhile, film director Shankar has denied reports that the movie evokes hatred against the people of Seemandhra regions.
He said that the film represents the democratic movement of the Telangana people, and their aspirations and sentiments.
"As a jury member for National Awards and a participant in several national and international film festivals, I will never create scenes that disturb peace, harmony and sentiments in the region," Shankar pointed out after a meeting with the Censor Board members.
"Is it a crime to project the tears and problems of the Telangana people in a film?" he questioned.
