Former minister M Mukesh Goud's son M Vikram Goud was shot at by unidentified persons in Gayatri Hills under the Banjara Hills police limits in the wee hours of Friday.

Vikram had returned home late the previous night, after 12:30 am, after participating in a social function. He woke up at 3 am to perform puja when he was attacked.

The CP said that he had constituted ten teams to solve the case and identify the culprits. He said that they were verifying CCTV footage to identify the attackers. Neither the security at Vikram's residence nor anyone in the vicinity saw any persons moving around or running from the house, police said. They added that several criminal cases were pending against both Mukesh and Vikram Goud. A CLUES team visited the spot in Gayatri Hills near Hafeez Baba Nagar in Banjara Hills.
