Muddukrishnamma said that the State Cabinet had not permitted the CBI to prosecute Dharmana only to facilitate the early release of Jaganmohan Reddy on bail.
The Telugu Desam Party on Tuesday described the YSR Congress party and Telangana Rashtra Samithi as the extended wings of the Congress party operating under different names to mislead the common man.
Talking to reporters at the Telugu Desam Legislature Party office here, TDP deputy floor leader Gali Muddukrishnamma Naidu alleged that Congress, YSRCP and TRS were working in close in coordination with each other although they have been trying to show that they were rivals.
Muddukrishnamma Naidu said that the State Cabinet did not permit the CBI to prosecute Roads and Buildings Minister B Dharmana Prasada Rao, only to facilitate the early release of Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy on bail.
He said that Dharmana's prosecution could have strengthened the case of disproportionate assets against Jagan. Therefore, despite objection from some ministers like D L Ravindra Reddy, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy refused to allow the prosecution of Dharmana Prasad. He said that this was done as per a secret understanding the Congress High Command had had with Vijayamma and Sharmila.
The TDP leader alleged that TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao's visit to Delhi had been given a hype as if he would raise the Telangana issue in the national capital. He said that although KCR could met Congress President Sonia Gandhi at latter's residence, but failed to raise Telangana issue in the Parliament.
Muddukrishnamma Naidu accused the Chief Minister of encouraging corruption by shielding tainted ministers and officials in the state. He said that other office bearers of Congress party too were involved in corrupt practices. For instance, he said Botsa Satyanarayana, who faced allegations of corruption in the Volkswagen deal, is heading the State Congress party. (INN)
