The YSR Congress Party continued its protest in the state Legislative Assembly on Friday, demanding clarity on voting on State Reorganisation Bill.
As soon as the House met at 9am, YSRCP floor leader Y S Vijayalakshmi gave a notice for an adjournment motion seeking clarity on voting on the Telangana Bill. However, the adjournment motion was disallowed by Speaker Nadendla Manohar. This triggered a protest by the YSRCP MLAs, who rushed to the Speaker's podium shouting "Jai Samaikhyandhra" slogans.
Following uproar, the Speaker then adjourned the House for 15 minutes.
The discussion on the Telangana Bill continued after the House resumed at about 9.35am. The Speaker allotted 3 minutes each to all the members, to speak on the Bill. (INN)
