YSR Congress has demanded an unconditional apology from TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu for his baseless remarks on Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, and also against the Chanchalguda jail authorities.
?The unsavory remarks of Naidu that certain people are leading a lavish life in jail, have been rejected by the concerned authorities. The TDP leader has to tender an open apology for his unjustified allegations as it demeans the functioning of the jails, and hurts the sentiments of our party leaders and cadre,? party spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakara Rao told reporters on Friday.
TDP leaders have been hurling verbal kalashnikovs at Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for quite some time now, and this accusation of him having an easy time of it in jail, is the latest in a series of many.
With such talk doing the rounds, the prison authorities have deemed it neccessary to restrict Jagan's meetings with his family members to scheduled timings, and party leaders are obliged to share in the limited time that has been allotted for him, said Jupudi Prabhakara Rao
"Naidu's tone and tenor are unbecoming of the leader of a political party (which has a standing of more than 30 years) and of someone who has also served as Chief Minister.
"Naidu has lost his balance of mind as his padayatras, and the Mahanadu have gone awry. He has been speaking in an incoherent manner. He is venting his frustration out on our leader Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy", he said.
When asked about CBI, he said there should be an inquiry into the style of functioning of CBI in Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy?s case as the same agency had reportedly said that it lacked manpower to investigate the allegations against N Chandrababu Naidu in the Emaar scam and other cases. (INN)
