It seems that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi aspires to play a major role in national politics after next elections.
With the confidence of winning at least 16 Lok Sabha seats in the Telangana region, the TRS feels that it would be most the important party from the state at the national level after the 2014 elections.
Meanwhile, the TRS leaders believe that a triangular fight in the Seemandhra region would limit the Congress, the YSRCP and the TDP to a maximum of 8-10 seats each.
These estimations were confirmed by TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, on Tuesday, when former Rajya Sabha MP K Keshava Rao took over as the general secretary of the party.
Talking to reporters, KCR said that the party was in touch with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who proposed the formation of the Federal Front. He said that the TRS would play a decisive role in the formation of the next government at the centre.
Keshava Rao and other senior leaders were also present during the press conference. (INN)
