YSRCP Flays Naidu's Speech At AP Collectors' Meet
The YSRCP has said that Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu was inciting the official machinery to extend all help to the TDP cadre.

Taking strong objection to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's address at the District Collectors and SPs meet, the YSR Congress Party has said that he was inciting the official machinery to extend all help to his party cadre, and that the accent was more on making TDP members, rather than the people as a whole, part of development process.
"Time and again Chandrababu Naidu has strongly hinted to the district administration to favour the TDP cadre in implementing all the welfare schemes, and he was speaking like the President of the TDP and not the Chief Minister of the State," party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters on Thursday.
His statement that they have to go to the people and the cadre should be made part of the development process, showed his shallow attitude which was bereft of providing welfare measures to all sections of the society cutting across party lines, she alleged.
"This is stark nepotism, and a person who was sworn in to the highest office in the State to serve the people without any prejudice or favour has broken the oath with such brazen talk at the conference of the highest officials of the districts.
"When YSR took over as Chief Minister, he implemented the schemes ignoring party lines, and every person, irrespective of party affiliation, had benefited from the welfare schemes. The spirit of welfare activity is lost with Naidu taking sides at the Collectors' Conference by openly suggesting that his Party needs to win seats the next time and this should be kept in mind while implementing welfare schemes," she said.
"We have seen the gross misuse of the official machinery during the Mayor and ZPTC Chairperson elections, and such undemocratic statements will encourage discrimination at all levels, which is not good for the administration.
"His speech was like rubbing the TDP's agenda onto the officials, leaving the decorum of governance to winds. The administration is run on a set of norms which cannot be overlooked, and if such an unsavory message comes from the top level, it will be in bad taste. It turns worse when the message percolates to lower rung," she added. (INN)
