Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy today said that she had not received any communication from the Governor's office to discuss the matter of a common recruitment board for the appointment of teaching faculty in Telangana's universities.
Responding to the media reports that the Governor had summoned her to clarify whether the Bill on a common recruitment board for teaching faculty of universities was tenable, the minister said that she had not received any information in this regard, and would respond only if anything was received from the Governor's office.
She also lashed out at the Governor's office for releasing leaks to the media without informing the education department first, and suggested that it to stop misleading the people with unnecessary rumours.
The Governor's office had on Monday said that the summons to the minister had been issued in a letter to the State government seeking clarification on the constitution of the common recruitment board.
