The Andhra Pradesh High Court, on Tuesday, posted the hearing on the bail petition of former IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, the accused in Obulapuram Mining Corporation's illegal mining case, to August 13.
Earlier, the High Court had rejected Srilakshmi's bail granted by the CBI special court. Challenging the High Court's orders, Srilakshmi then filed a petition in the Supreme Court. However, she did not get any relief from the apex court, and was asked to settle the issue in the lower courts.
Arrested on November 28 last year for illegally favouring the OMC, owned by mining baron and former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, Srilakshmi, the prime accused in the case, is currently lodged in the Chanchalguda Women's Jail. (INN)
