Suspended general secretary of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee Ambati Rambabu on Tuesday stated that he had received a parcel containing a packet of cyanide and a letter threatening former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy of dire consequences.
Talking to media persons, Rambabu revealed that the parcel was delivered to his residence and contained a letter that warned Jaganmohan Reddy of dire consequences if he caused any obstruction to the government. The letter further warned the former MP not to launch any anti-government programs.
Rambabu further stated that the letter warned Jaganmohan Reddy not to create any disturbances during the upcoming MLC elections.
Reading out the contents of letter to the media, Rambabu said that he had lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.
"Earlier, Jaganmohan Reddy had received many threatening calls warning him of dire consequences. But this time around, we have received a cyanide packet," Rambabu stated.
