Former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, whose hunger fast for fee reimbursement issue entered its 6th day on Wednesday, said that his health was good, and refused to undergo medical tests despite doctors advising him to do so.
Talking to media persons at Varalakshmi Vedike at Indira Park, the former MP said that his health condition was good and there was no need to undergo medical check-up.
Jaganmohan Reddy added that he would continue his fast on Thursday to complete the week-long period which was announced earlier.
The Kadapa leader's refusal came after a medical team visited the hunger fast site following the directions of the state government.
Earlier on Tuesday, Social Welfare Minister Pithani Sathyanarayana had appealed to the former MP to withdraw his fast immediately as the government made it clear that it would clear all the dues before July.
Satyanarayana said that the government would release the funds following the directions of the Supreme Court and urged the college managements to withdraw their decision of closing the colleges from February 24th.
