The Central Bureau Of Investigation on Wednesday served a notice to Jagati Publications auditor Varadarajan, asking him depose in connection with the disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Apart from Varadarajan, notices were also served to 12 companies which invested in firms floated by Jagan, and they have all been asked to depose before the probing agency.
According to sources, the deposition of the auditor Varadarajan is crucial, as he is likely to be aware of investors of firms floated by Jagan, as well as how much each had benefitted through the shares.
The CBI is also examining the key documents that were seized during the raids.
The CBI is also questioning senior bureaucrat and former APIIC Managing Director B P Acharya and other officials in connection with the Emaar Properties case. Sources say that Acharya was being questioned at a separate place and not at Dilkusha Guest house.
Earlier, the CBI submitted its seizure records and key documents seized during the raids to the CBI Special Court at Nampally, and sought further directions from the court. (INN)
