YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and former Excise And Prohibition minister Mopidevi Venkataramana, who are currently lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail in connection with the disproportionate assets case, on Thursday, cast their votes in the presidential elections.
Both Jagan and Mopidevi Venkataramana were brought to the premises of the Legislative Assembly, under tight police security, to facilitate their voting in the elections. Jagan arrived at the Assembly at around 12:20pm, and cast his vote at the designated entry point.
When Jagan alighted from the bullet-proof vehicle, the waiting MLAs of the YSRCP raised "Jai Jagan" slogans and accompanied him into the polling station area. Jagan greeted them all with a smile.
The YSRCP MLAs, barring his mother Vijayamma, who arrived an hour earlier, waited at the designated entry point to receive him. (INN)
