Writer Maharadhi No More

Veteran film writer, journalist, and political activist Tripuraneni Maharadhi died at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Friday. He was 82.

Maharadhi penned dialogues for several hit films, including Kanchu Kota, Ninne Pelladutha and Rana Bheri.

His dialogues in Alluri Sitarama Raju were popular, and ever since the film's success, he was associated with Krishna.

Maharadhi and his sons produced a film called Rythu Bharatham.

He also penned the dialogues for the Telugu version of television serial Chanakya, besides lending his voice for the lead character.

He was actively involved in the TDP, and later, had a brief stint with BJP.

During the previous elections, he had started his own Trilinga Praja Party. (INN)
