Women Unsafe Under TDP: Roja On Balakrishna Comments
With the TDP's MLAs and their kin resorting to atrocities on women every day, they had no moral right to conduct Women's Day celebrations, Roja also said.

YSR Congress Party leader Roja today alleged that there was no protection for women under the regime of Chandrababu Naidu.
"TDP leader and MLA Balakrishna, and Nara Lokesh, have no respect for women, and many other leaders of that Party also have the same mentality," Roja alleged, and demanded that Balakrishna apologize to women for his disagreeable comments during a cinema function.
Bemoaning the dragging of her leader Jagan into the episode of Susheel, the son of AP Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu who was arrested for attempting to molest a woman, Roja said that it was a ridiculous statement, and that the CCTV footage clearly showed that Susheel had misbehaved with a woman.
Had this incident happened in AP, it would have not come to a light, she remarked.
She also demanded the removal of Ravela Kishore Babu from the cabinet for his son's act.
With the TDP's MLAs and their kin resorting to atrocities on women on a day-to-day basis, they had no moral right to conduct Women's Day celebrations, Roja also said.
"We are seeing some atrocity or the other on women by the government itself and by the ruling Party's leaders at various levels. The minister's son attempted to molest a woman in full public view in Hyderabad. Another girl Indumati, a minor, was burnt alive in Eluru. Hundreds of women were forced into the sex racket by TDP leaders in the call money scam. Rishiteshwari was forced to commit suicide. A woman MRO was thrashed by an MLA in full public view. What is your moral right to conduct Women's Day celebrations?" she questioned.
