Condemning the remarks of former RTC chairman and senior Congress leader Gone Prakash Rao against Chief Minister K Rosaiah demanding him to step down for not handling delicate issues properly, Congress MLC Rudraraju Padma Raju on Friday termed them as unwarranted and demanded that the Prakash Rao withdrew the comments.
Talking to media persons at the CLP office, Padma Raju said that the Congress leader had no moral right to demand the Chief Minister's resignation as he was handling State administration with utmost efficiency.
Padma Raju asked Gone Prakash to raise the problems in the party instead of airing them before media persons.
"If the leader has any problem with the Chief Minister or ministers, he can raise them before Pradesh Congress Committee or party High Command. The unwarranted comments before media will damage the party image and send a wrong message among people," Raju pointed out.
Prakash Rao had accused the Chief Minister of confusing the party cadre by stating that he became the Chief Minister by chance. The MLC had advised Rosaiah to choose his words carefully.
Prakash Rao had also demanded that Rosaiah order his cabinet colleagues to mandatorily attend the AP Formation Day celebrations or quit their posts.
Rao had also said that GO no. 610 and free zone issues could be solved if a person from Telangana became the Chief Minister.
