Rosaiah's Body Cremated With State Honours
The final rites for former AP CM and Congress leader K Rosaiah were completed with full state honours at his Kompally farmhouse near Hyderabad today.

The final rites for former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Konijeti Rosaiah were completed with full state honours at his Kompally farmhouse near Hyderabad at around 3:50 pm.
Rosaiah's body was shifted from Gandhi Bhavan to his farmhouse after tributes were paid by leaders and workers of the Congress. The family members of the departed leader then lit the pyre as per traditions, confining the body to flames with sandalwood and ghee, and bidding a tearful adieu. There was also a gun salute by police personnel as part of the state honours.
Many leaders from the Telugu states including ministers, and admirers of the leader attended the funeral. Union minister G Kishan Reddy, AP ministers Botsa Satyanarayana, Perni Nani and Balineni Srinivas, BJP state president Bandi Sanjay, former union minister Chiranjeevi, V Hanumantha Rao, Geetha Reddy, Shashidhar Reddy, Vellampally Srinivas, Y V Subba Reddy, Sake Shailajanath, Raghuveera Reddy, Padma Raju and others paid homage to the body of the former Chief Minister.
On behalf of the AICC, and Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, former union minister Mallikarjun Kharge paid homage to the departed leader.
The Telangana government had yesterday announced three days of mourning, and was followed by the AP government.
Rosaiah passed away on Saturday following low blood pressure, at Star Hospitals.
