Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today assured full support to the family of late senior journalist Gidipalli Dattureddy, who tragically passed away recently due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 37.
The minister visited Dattureddy's native village, Maddelacheruvu in Pitlam mandal of Kamareddy district, and consoled the grieving family members.
Overcome with emotion while recalling his close bond with Dattureddy, the minister comforted the latter's wife Priyanka and mother, who were in deep sorrow.
As a mark of the government's support to and solidarity with the journalist fraternity, the minister extended financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the family.
The minister also promised an outsourcing government job to Dattureddy's wife, ensuring long-term support and stability for the bereaved family.
Speaking on the occasion, Komatireddy said, "Dattureddy was not just a journalist but a friend - someone I deeply respected. His untimely demise is a great personal loss. His family will not be left alone - we are with them."
