Responding to the death of first-year PG medical student Dr Preethi, who committed suicide by taking a poisonous injection reportedly unable to bear the harassment of a senior student at the Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal, Minister for IT and Industries K T Rama Rao said that the State government would not spare anyone guilty, and would ensure strict punishment to them as per the law.
Addressing a massive public meeting at Sodashapalli village in Hanamkonda district today after participating in some foundation-laying ceremonies, Rao expressed his sympathy to the family members of Preethi and assured them that the government would provide all possible support to them.
Calling the death of Preethi very unfortunate, he lamented that the Opposition parties were trying to politicise even a tragedy like that.
