BJP Seeks Full Inquiry Into KMC Student Suicide Attempt Case
BJP MLA Eatala Rajender today demanded that the State government order a detailed inquiry into the suicide attempt case of PG medical student Dr Preethi.
Former minister and BJP MLA Eatala Rajender today demanded that the State government order a detailed inquiry into the suicide attempt case of Kakatiya Medical College PG medical student Dr Preethi.
He also demanded that the State government take stern action against those responsible for the tragic incident, as also provide the best possible treatment to the girl.
He made these demands while speaking to media persons after calling on the family members of Preethi at NIMS.
He said that the suicide attempt by Preethi had once again brought to the fore the menace of ragging in medical colleges.
He said that the HODs of the concerned medical colleges should take action against students indulging in ragging when such issues were brought to their notices, and added that Preethi would not have attempted suicide had her HOD taken action in the issue.
He alleged Preethi's problem was not solved even after her meeting the Principal of the medical college, and after the complaint by her father to the police.
