The TJAC is all set to raise the issue of Telangana at the Budget Session of the State Legislative Assembly, even if it means bringing the session to a crashing halt. The TJAC's leading cause, the formation of a seperate Telangana, had taken a backseat to several other issues in state lately, including the twin-blasts that occured at Dilsukhnagar last month. They even posponed a highway blockade programme they had planned to conduct earlier this month.
Now that that has passed, the TJAC Steering Committee met once more to discuss its future course of action, and to reschedule the sadak bandh. TJAC leader Srinivas Goud has announced that the date for the highway blockade has been fixed as 21 March. "The sadak bandh will happen for sure, and we will ensure that it happens in a peaceful manner. We request the state government not to put up hurdles in the way of our peaceful struggle for a separate state, but, our struggle will continue regardless.
We also request the people to join us, and support us.
