Chief Minister Revanth Reddy declared today his intent to eliminate the political influence of former Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao.
In an informal discussion with reporters, he said that KCR's influence had already been eclipsed by his son K T Rama Rao, and hinted that strategic moves involving BRS MLA Harish Rao could further weaken KCR's political position.
Reddy expressed confidence that KCR's political career would end within a year.
"We will avoid coercive tactics such as police detentions. We know exactly how to manage family-driven political alliances," he said.
Addressing ongoing investigations into phone-tapping and electricity procurements during the BRS regime, and the Kaleshwaram project, he said that these inquiries would proceed based solely on investigative findings, with no personal agendas involved.
Regarding the phone-tapping investigation, the Chief Minister said that the passports of key suspects Prabhakar Rao and Shravan had been cancelled, signalling impending arrests.
On the Janwada farmhouse controversy, Revanth Reddy criticized KTR's brother-in-law's alleged involvement.
"Diwali is a festival of lights, but at KTR's brother-in-law's farmhouse, we're seeing liquor bottles instead," he said. "Casino tokens were found at Raj Pakala's residence - how can that be called a Diwali party?"
