Will Bring Money From Centre For Free Houses: Kishan Reddy
The union minister alleged that the Telangana government had used up the money given by the Centre for the construction of free double bedroom houses, elsewhere.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy today said that he would take up the responsibility of bringing money from the Centre comprising its share of the expenses for the construction of free double bedroom houses in Telangana, irrespective of the number.
He claimed that the state government had failed in the construction of the promised houses despite starting the exercise in 2015 and using that promise to win two elections.
He made these remarks after visiting the double bedroom houses built under the scheme in the Musheerabad Assembly constituency, along with former MLA Dr K Laxman.
Speaking on the occasion, he alleged that the state government had used up the money given by the union government for the construction of the double bedroom houses, elsewhere, leaving several poor people who had pinned their hopes on the scheme, completely crest-fallen.
He pointed out that 7 lakh double bedroom houses had been built in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh using the funds of the union government.
