BJP Flays KCR For "Lies" About Ambedkar Statue
Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay today slammed CM K Chandrashekar Rao for having "cheated" the Dalit community by not having built a statue of Dr B R Ambedkar.
Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar today slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for allegedly having "cheated" the state's Dalit community by not having kept his word about building a 125-foot tall statue of Dr B R Ambedkar in the middle of the state capital.
In an acerbic attack on the CM, the leader claimed that after coming to power in the state, the BJP would "demolish" the CM's camp office, Pragathi Bhavan, and would install the Ambedkar statue on its grounds instead.
He also said that the saffron party would "uproot" KCR's farmhouse using one lakh ploughs after the 2023 Assembly elections, and would distribute the land on which it was built among the poor.
Referring to the upcoming by-election in Huzurabad, Kumar asserted that neither the TRS nor the CM himself would be able to "stop" the BJP from winning the seat, and assured the people of the state that his party was preparing itself to fight against the problems faced by the unemployed.
"The people of Telangana have lost all faith in the CM and his government. It is clear to see that he does not have any wish to truly work towards the development of the SC, ST, and BC communities of the state. If this is not the case, the leader should give each eligible Dalit household financial aid of Rs 50 lakh, as he had promised, instead of the Rs 10 lakh that is currently being given as aid," he thundered.
To strengthen his claims, the BJP chief then went on to allege that KCR was "destroying" the crops cultivated on podu lands by sending forest department officials into tribal areas.
The upcoming Huzurabad by-election has once again riled up tensions between the political parties of the state. Leaders of each party are busy levelling allegations against their rivals in a bid to mobilise support for their respective parties.
