Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that the State had raised the curtains to history being created in the foundation stone-laying ceremony for Amaravathi held on October 22.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, Naidu said that the farmers of the region had given their lands voluntarily for the capital city construction. It was great that 16,000 people had brought the "Sankalpa Patralu", he said.
"We collected sacred soil and water from all parts of the country for the capital's consecration. The vaastu of the new capital is very strong. We also completed foundation stone-laying ceremony without any unwanted incidents," he added.
He praised the officials and the Police department of the State for toiling for the success of the program.
