Telangana Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao today handed over B-forms to the 18 candidates of the TRS who will be contesting in the April 30 municipal elections in the state.
The minister handed over the forms to the candidates in the presence of Women and Child Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod, several MLAs and election coordination committee members at his camp office
Speaking on the occasion, Dayakar Rao urged the voters of the Khammam and Warangal municipal corporations to "bless" the TRS candidates in the upcoming elections by supporting them as they had done in the recent
graduates' constituencies' elections.
In his attempt to woo voters, he highlighted the pink party's commitment to social justice and said, "Our party has allocated tickets to candidates from all communities in order to enhance the political representation of every section of society. Ours is the only party this committed to the ideals of social justice."
Rao also pacified those party leaders who had not received tickets that they would have a great future in the TRS in the days to come and added that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and IT Minister K T Rama Rao had promised that those leaders who were denied tickets would soon be given other opportunities.
The minister then claimed that Warangal was developing under the leadership of KCR and that it had not seen any development under the Congress. He also accused the BJP of not having much to develop the region.
