2 Dead In Mangapet Bus Mishap

2 persons were killed and 7 injured, when a Volvo bus toppled at Godumavari bridge near Mangapet (Kothagudem mandal), Khammam.

2 persons were killed and 7 others injured when the driver of a private Volvo bus lost control over his vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve and toppled it over at Godumavari bridge near Mangapet (Kothagudem mandal) in Khammam district in the early hours of Friday.

According to Kothagudem police station sub-inspector Prasad, the Volvo bus was heading towards Manuguru from Hyderabad.

Mr. Prasad said the bus driver lost control over his vehicle near Mangapet, toppling it over.

The deceased have been identified as Kalamma and Krishnaiah. The condition of the injured is stated to be out of danger. The bodies of the victims have been shifted to Government General Hospital in Kothagudem for post mortem.

The bus had about 40 passengers when the accident happened.
