VRO Held For Taking Bribe

Village Revenue Officer, Jilleda Cluster & Remanapally (M), Adilabad District, was caught red-handed by ACB officials at about 8:30pm on Dec 26 in his office premises, when he demanded and accepted an amount of Rs. 13,000 as bribe from the complainant, for doing an official favour. Reportedly, this was "to issue the Patta Pass book and title deed, and to measure 6 acres and 28 guntas situated at Lingala (V) in Sy. No. 114, 67 of the complainant and his relatives".

The bribe amount was recovered from him. He has been arrested, and will be produced before the Honorable II Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad. (INN)
