Following the mysterious
incident of firing at the house of Congress leader Mukesh Goud's son Moola Vikram Goud in the posh Banjara Hills area on Friday, the victim's wife Shipali slammed the rumours doing the rounds that Goud had shot himself.
Some media reports claimed that the incident was staged since Goud was neck-deep in debts, and in order to gain sympathy and some time from his creditors, had fired himself and tried to make it look like an attempt to murder him. The police, too, appear to believe the same, despite Goud himself telling them today that two persons had fired at him and sped away on a Pulsar.
Shipali appealed to the media not to spread false news about the incident. She said that she had complete faith in the Hyderabad police, and that the case would be cracked soon.
Vikram Goud was allegedly shot at by unidentified persons at his residence in the wee hours of Friday when he was about to leave for a temple along with his family. Shipali heard loud screams and rushed to the scene to find Goud in a pool of blood. He was immediately rushed to hospital.
The police officials could not initially get any details from Goud regarding the assailants. No one at his residence saw the assailants, nor were there any security personnel at the house. The police did not even find any clue from the CCTV cameras installed in the street. That led to all the speculation.
