The Hyderabad police have come to a conclusion that Vikram Goud had himself staged the recent firing on him to extract some money from his father, ex-minister Mukesh Goud.
According to the police, Vikram Goud mounted the drama to frighten his father into giving him money and to escape from his financiers.
On Tuesday, the police questioned the arrested three persons of Ananthapur and asked them about the pistol used in the firing. They told the police that they had thrown it into the Shaikpet tank. The police then took the culprits to the Shaikpet tank and conducted a search for the arm.
The police said that the firing was planned perfectly. The culprits resorted to firing inside Goud's house since they felt that they would be caught if they fired from outside the house.
