The Supreme Court today cancelled the bail of Vijay Sai Reddy, the second accused in the Y S Jaganmohan Reddy Disproportionate Assets (DA) case.
The apex court gave the verdict based on the CBI stance that Vijay Sai Reddy, Jagan's firms' auditor, was the lynchpin of all Jagan's dealings, and that if he was free he would influence the witnesses.
Agreeing with the CBI's view, the SC cancelled the interim bail of Reddy. It asked him to surrender before June.
It also asked the CBI to complete the investigation within four months.
The Supreme Court also rejected the bail petition of jailed industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad.
In all, the Supreme Court favoured the CBI on all three counts. It rejected bail to Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and Nimmagadda Prasad, and cancelled the bail of Vijay Sai Reddy. (INN)
