Video Piracy Racket Busted, 1 Held
South Zone sleuths raided New Super Star Music Centre at Gulzar Houz near Charminar, and seized 1,754 pirated CDs/DVDs of Telugu, Hindi, English and Bengali films.

The South Zone sleuths on Sunday conducted a raid on the New Super Star Music Centre at Gulzar Houz near Charminar, and seized 1,754 pirated CDs/DVDs of Telugu, Hindi, English and Bengali films.
The Task Force officials have arrested one Noor Mohammed in this connection. The sleuths conducted the raid when they were tipped off that Mohammed was selling pirated CDs.
On interrogation, the accused revealed that he had been working in the said shop for the last 6 months, and that the shop was owned by one Amaan Ali who was a resident of Aliabad. Ali has been running the shop for the past 8 years, he added.
Mohammed admitted that he had been selling VCDs, CDs and DVDs of pirated films and music albums for the past 4-5 months by procuring them from a supplier at cheap rates.
Ali is at large, and the police is on his trail.
Mohammed was taken into custody by the Station House Officer, Mirchowk police station, for further investigation. (INN)
